Just quietly…

... You know how you have to wet a sponge before you can use it, before it will absorb your Cleaning Agent of Choice, because if you try to clean with it when it hasn’t been pre-wet, nothing absorbs, and you’re just there, wiping a bench futilely, getting none of that spaghetti sauce off? Well, your face is the same: you need to prep the face in order for the skin to be able to properly receive the next product that goes on - be that your serum, or your day/night cream. In the old days, when E Street was on telly, all we had for this was toner, but now we have a whole plethora of products that beautifully hydrate and prepare the skin for taking in skincare goodness,(facial mists, essences and clarifying lotions). I would like to give a shout out to SK-II’s Facial Treatment Essence which is terrifically hydrating, Judith White’s organic phyto-mineral rose facial mist, which smells delightful and really aids absorption, and Clinque’s Clarifying lotion, which gently exfoliates dead skin cells, obviously a great help for the next product trying to weasel into your skin, as well as handy for thoroughly cleansing the skin when you’ve been loading your mug with sunscreens and primers everyday.

But of course this would never happen, because obviously they prohibit using anything other than fists in boxing. Haha! No, it would never happen because these two would rather have a cup of green tea and a vegan muffin than dish out high-speed flying kicks.... more
