It seems odd, to see a photo of Miss AMBER VALETTA on the red carpet with less than perfect skin. And you know, it’s all relative, because mostly we are used to seeing Red Carpet walkers sassing skin of the the-glow-from-your-face-is-distorting-my-vision, variety. Which is absolutely not a Bad Thing. I love when actresses think, “Huh. The Oscars, ay? Maybe I will refer to what the stylish, glamorous, glorious women of the past wore, and take some inspiration from them, so that when I look back at these images in ten years, I will look timeless. I’m not a huge fan of pale eye shadows. (Thank you for asking) but I used to be, and now I’m beginning to remember why: When it’s the right texture and colour it’s fresh, opens up the eyes and beautifully embellishes your iris. The SAGs red carpet exposed that pale shadow was pretty much that was the rule de thumb for the eyelid area, and stars who wore it well included Penelope Cruz, Teri Hatcher, Kate “Dominator” Winslet, Eva Longoria, Kyra Sedgwick and Mickey Rourke.
