Victoria’s Secret is actually in the hair and makeup

Of course all the models have perfectly pert little asses, and perky bosoms and abs that are impossible to get pre-baby, let alone POST baby, (must be UltraShape) and smiles that go for several postcodes and legs that span the length of a Westfield Shoppingtown, BUT IT’S NOT ABOUT ANY OF THAT.

It’s about the hair and makeup, which never really varies, year on year. It’s always sexy-pretty girl hair and sexy-pretty girl makeup.
Hair is always long and thick and heaving under the weight of several rows of high quality weave, full of bounce and shaped into a face-opening, eye-focusy centre part.
Your best chance at getting the look:
Hot rollers. Or even cool ones. Just use rollers, man. Make sure they are placed into dry, moussed hair, blasted with a hot hair dryer, then sprayed with a setting hair spray then left for a good 25 minutes while you do your face. Undo and gently brush out for the Angel look.

Something that is perfect for this: Kevin.Murphy Hair.Curlers( $30 for ten, medium size, easy gide in, glide out no tangles) and Session.Spray ($24.95, light, easily brushed out for new looks with no build-up, great for setting lightly without looking like there’s any product in there). Kev, one of Australia’s finest and best-known hair stylists, would have styled in the area of 125, 236 models and celebrities in his time (Ms Kerr included), so I believe him when he says on the back of the box “Finally the curlers I have always wanted but could never find.”
Makeup is always fresh, shimmery and focused on the eyes. Most of the time it’s top lid only liner, brown shadow, lots of false lashes and the key: shimmery golds and pearls on the inner V to really bust open the eyes. Lips are down-played, cheeks are bouncy and adorable with bronzer and highlighters. The whole look is very sexy-pretty, as opposed to sexy-sexy. It’s that girl-next-door-who-happens-to-be-a-supermodel, thing.

Your best chance at getting the look:
Is by lining the top lash line with black liner, then going over with brown and building it up slightly, but not too far, keep it below the crease. Go bananas with mascara, and be sure to bronze and peachy-blush your cheek, too. That’s important.
Something that is perfect for this:
For the eyes, which is most important, I would use something like the Benefit Primpcess kit: It’s got everything you need for sexy-pretty eyes. Everything, including the shimmery shade and a creme shadow for the inner V, and the concealer for under the eyes, because as IF any of the Victoria’s Secret girls ever have bags or circles under their eyes. They had that gene removed at birth, and replaced with an anti-cellulite one.
