I speak truth. Tomorrow, or today, if you’re reading this ... today, but not yesterday, being February 8, if you’re in Sydney you can shimmy down to Surry Hills and have quite literally the best hairdressers in the land give you a sweet blowie as you feel smug knowing every cent of your cash is going to the people who so desperately need it in Haiti.
It’s called Blow Off, it’s happening at People Surry Hills (Shop 4/285A Crown St) for one day only (Feb 8) and leading hairstylists to raise much-needed funds for the survivors of the devastating Haiti earthquake.

The Hair Kings and Queens on offer? Brett Albury from Suki Hair, Hamish Glianos from People Hairdressing, Jayne Wild from Wild Life Hair, Phillip Gallo from Gallo Hair, Barney Martin from Barney Martin Hairdressing, Julianne McGuigan from Sable Hair and Kenneth Stoddart. I’ve had the pleasure of working with most of these guys for years in various beauty roles, and plenty of them have done incredible PTV hair vids for us and, yknow, a lot of them have also won a shit tonne of national hair awards and stuff too. In short: This will probably be the best blowie of your life.
Up the ante by chucking in another $100 and one of them will take scissors to your hair. Hairawesome.
Get on the blower (zing!) first thing tomorrow and call (02) 9331 0380 to see if you can slot in. Worth it. A lot.

BLOW OFF is an initiative that unites hairdressers for charity. This will be the first industry collaboration event of many to come and will offer the general public as well as each salons celebrity clients and media the chance to get one of Australia’s hairdressing royalty to blow dry their hair for only $35.
