Grammys: Rihanna makes a very strong case for icy eye shadow.

Miss KATE HUDSON tried this look a week or so back at the Golden Globes, and I wasn’t compleeeetely sold on it, (a lot of you lot were, though, which certainly counts) but oh, be still my thumping foot, Miss RIHANNA’s take on Frosty the Snowminx icy eyes at the Grammy awards has me smitten.

Here she is, looking absolutely magic in her theatrical white (Can icy eyes only be worn with white? Discuss) feathered frock, thieving all the pretty in the room. (LADY GAGA already nicked all the crazy, maybe next time RIHANNA.)

I just love this. I do. Maybe it’s because of her skin tone and her brown eyes and those wild lashes and those juicy lil’ lips and that adorable smile and I’m not sure whether I would ever attempt this look, akshually, but oh, it really has triggered something in me that wants to clap and give her pats on backs.

And! It appears it might be her New Beauty Thing, after having smashed the red lips for a while, for here she is a few nights ago doing a similarly enchanting icy eye, this time with more green and more liner, but no less gorgeous. I think the use of creme eye shadow and loose dust here does marvelous things, not only to accentuate her eyes, but to soften the tough guy mohawk.

Fun fact: Both of her icy eyes are matchy-matchy with her dress… I’M SENSING A MATCHY-MATCHY RESURGENCE. And I’m yet to decide whether it is to be sanctioned by the world famous PRIMPED Committee of Beauty Trend Allowance. (Comprised of myself, Meowbert and a glass of lemonade.)

Do you give props to RIHANNA’s icy eyes?
I think she looks simply captivating.

Rihanna does make the icy eye look work, and extremely well, but it’s not for all of us is it? I for one am definitely going to try it out!

I really actually like it - I think it’s her skin colour that makes the difference for me…

She looks sooo cute in that first pic! I don’t mind matchy-matchy, when it’s subtle. If the committee meets to discuss the issue, can we have photos to document it? Particularly of Meowbert?

she is such a STUNNING girl. I am liking Narnia Ice Queen look in the first pic. But, oh, remember how beeeyoootiful she was with long hair. Okay so she is uber edgey with the mohawke, i concede.
I support the campaign for matchy matchy, means less brain power when putting together my outfit!
