Nothing says “I’m over you” to your ex-boyfriend than hiring a Monster truck and gleefully driving over his car, or in the case of Miss ABBIE CORNISH (who recently split up with one RYAN PHILLIPPE) chopping all your hair off, dying it gigablonde and wearing a spectacular red dress (and a saucy smirk) down the red rug.... more

It was taken a few days back at the 9th Annual Greater New York Human Rights Campaign Gala in, you guessed it, Detroit. No, wait, New York. And I think Miss PARKER looks just luminous. Here’s why:

I dated a boy once who had a ‘thing’ for half-up, half-down hair (where you pull back the top part of your hair, but leave the bottom half out) in the same way Miss HEIDI MONTAG has a thing for plastic surgery. He was mad for it! Said it drove him wild! Asked for it all the time! And guess what. He wasn’t the only guy who felt this way. Boys LOVE THIS hairstyle.... more

She’s a cutie and she’s funny and she was courteous enough not to kick Kanye in the lap walnuts when he ruined her Big Moment and she can sing real good, but whenever I see her photographed, all done up, I have this desire to go and make her under. ... more

Great packaging or brilliance in application due to clever packaging design makes a dramatic difference with a product. I was reminded of this today when I pondered the handy little lid on the top of my Molton Brown body wash, a new sliding lid they’ve implemented across all of their products, and which keeps things neat and entirely non-spilly when one travels. ... more

A tinted moisturiser, one makeup artist once told me, is a complete crock of shit. It is neither a decent moisturiser, nor decent makeup - it does both things by half, and neither of them very well. I saw her “logic”, but that didn’t stop me from my throwing my shoe at her and telling her to WAKE UP. Tinted moisturiser is a marvelous, wonderful thing, and I use one (or a mix of several) every single day of my life.... more

Me? I reckon it’s a circumstantial thing. So, say for instance you’re wearing a frisky, safari-style latte coloured dress and some lovely dark wooden heels. You might very well go for a lovely taupe shadow on the lids, a shade which very much matches your dress. This would be a Matchy-Matchy win.... more

There is a huge spectrum of Red Lip, ranging from gently-bitten stains through to full, rich, vibrant, fire engine red lipsticks, and with lots of red glosses and mattes and so on in between. Right now, and especially when I was on holiday (Oh, did I mention I went to Greece? Only 257 times? Oh, so I did. Carry on) I am doing the long-last red liquid lipstick (Revlon Colorstay Liquid Lipstick in Tomato) with several kilos of bronzer (either CoverGirl, Clinique, Lancome or La Prairie. Yeah, uh, I’m a little greedy when it comes to bronzers right now. But they’re all different! Give different looks and effects!)... more

When I was back at Cosmo, there was a staffer who’d had good skin all her life then she hit her 20s and it went TROPPO, only not in the fun way with small umbrellas and pineapple juice, but rather with adult acne. Spots everywhere. I gave her various anti-blemish skin care routines, even sent her off to get blue light Omnilux and green peels, but nothing much changed. Well, the intensity and anger of her acne did, but it by no means disappeared. Then one day I noticed her skin was a lot, lot clearer. And the reason? She’d gone back on the pill.... more

So, mostly our little Gossip Girl just kind of walks around and plays the Hot Chick in her musical debut, Good Girls Go Bad, but she does sing a little too, and not entirely badly. I’m confused at her choice to do this song, and with this band, who I’ve never heard of and who look kind of lame. Their name is Cobra Starship. Which kind of cements my point, I think.
Anyway.... more
