And what a delightful category blog this is to write. A year ago I wouldn’t have been able to compare two liquid mineral foundations, because there was, uh, like one on the whole market. But slowly slowly the category is growing as cosmetic companies realise that some people will always A) Spill powder makeup, B) Find it fiddly, C) Just always prefer liquid makeup and that’s all there is to it, and no matter how wonderful powder mineral makeup they wish people like me would STOP TRYING TO CHANGE MAKEUP PATTERNS THAT WERE CREATED WHEN THEY WERE 13 THAT WORK JUST FINE AND DO NOT NEED CHANGING THANK YOU VERY MUCH.... more

Cleansers are the dark horse of skin care. Underrated. Underloved. Underappreciated. Often, if our skin is Looking Totally Great we give all the credit to our day or night cream, or even our serums or treatment products, but don’t discount the effects of a kickass cleanser. After all, if they’re not doing their job properly, none of that cream’s gonna be able to do its job anyway.
