Fashion Week has got something of a fetish with 1950’s glasses this A/W ‘10 season. But they couldn’t distract us from Marni’s stained lips and soft grey-washed eyes. With bold brows, soft skin and matte blocks of colour, it made for a rather kooky look.

Who did it: Tom Pecheux
How he did it:
Face:
Tom started by applying MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation to the face as a base, followed by MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer, $36 on any blemishes or uneven skin tone.
The Marni show was all about clear, matte skin, so MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder was dusted all over the face for a no-shine finish.
To give the cheeks a little definition, MAC Mineralize Blush in Utterly Game was lightly brushed over the cheekbones. This mineral blush gives the skin a beautiful luminous glow without the heavy coverage. Brilliant.
Eyes:
The eyes were all about a soft wash of browny-grey colour for subtle definition, with no mascara or liner. MAC Eye Shadow in Flourishing, $32 was washed from the lash line to the brow for a very soft veil of colour.
Lip:
If you take a close look at the lips, you’ll notice that the entire lip is not filled in. MAC Lip Pencil in Spice, $30 was drawn into the centre of the mouth, without lining the outer edges of the lip. If you’re keen to try this look, gentle pat some concealer onto the lips before applying the lip pencil to block out your natural lip colour.
The lips were finished with a little MAC Eye Shadow in Brown Script, $32 which was patted on top for a matte, copper-toned mouth.
