Behind the brand

When French medical student Jacques Courtin-Clarins opened the Clarins Institute de Beaute in Paris in 1954 he was a “firm” (sorry) believer that massage was key in amending circulation issues. Monsieur Clarins went on to produce a range of floral body oils that would eventually become one of the world’s biggest beauty companies, offering skincare, makeup and of course, oodles of salon treatments. Clever man.
