Michelle Williams shows us how to make our boob area glow

Tue, 11 October 2011 1:16PM

Michelle Williams does not have a big rack. I’m not trying to be cruel, Primps; I’m just being honest. But having a smaller sized chest is not a bad thing, especially when you know how to make it look glowy and defined in a low-cut frock. And Michelle Williams certainly knows how to make her chest look a little perkier than it really is.

Actress Michelle Williams attends a party for the New York Film Festival premiere of The Weinstein Company's 'My Week With Marilyn' hosted by Dior at Hudson Hotel on October 9, 2011 in New York City.

Do you see it? That bright and glowy line down the centre of her boobs fooling us all into thinking she actually has a HUGE rack and the massive cleavage that goes along with said large breasts? Yes? Well, that’s simply the result of well-applied illuminator. True story.

Now, does your chest sit on the smaller side of the boob fence, Primps? Do you want it to look bigger and glowier than it really is like Michelle’s? Then…

Prestige Cosmetics Sun Baked Mineral Highlighter, $29.95, The Nude by Nature Soft Focus Illuminator, $22.95, Benefit Finding Mr. Bright, $45, CLINIQUE Up-Lighting Liquid Illuminator, $48 and Face of Australia Mineral Therapy Illuminating Pearls, $14.95.Clockwise from top left: Prestige Cosmetics Sun Baked Mineral Highlighter, $29.95, The Nude by Nature Soft Focus Illuminator, $22.95, Benefit Finding Mr. Bright, $45, CLINIQUE Up-Lighting Liquid Illuminator, $48 and Face of Australia Mineral Therapy Illuminating Pearls, $14.95.

AND HERE’S WHAT TO DO WITH IT: Because you want to create the illusion of a fuller cup, don’t apply illuminating products all over your chest. This will only make the entire area glow and not that faux cleavage of yours. Instead, apply the product in a thin line down the middle of your boobs . Then, and this is something you MUST do, blend the outer edges of the product slightly. You don’t want it to look obvious, so it’s important the product mingles with your skin.  Oh, and if you’re sporting a neckline as low as Michelle Williams, you can also take the product slightly underneath your boobs to help ‘lift’ them. Sneaky, huh?

TIP: If you’re using a liquid highlighter, you can heighten the glowy effect by dusting a powder illuminiser over the top.

Do you highlight your boob area?
If so, what products do you use?
Or, will you be making your chest area glowy like Michelle Williams’ from now on?

i must admit that I am the bearer of .. a little rack. very unfortunate!

As a previously addicted viewer of Dawson’s Creek, Michelle Williams used to have a very ample bosom, to the point where I used to cheekily nickname her ‘Boobie’! She was positively top-heavy! Unless they’ve shrunk for some bizarre reason, I would not associate a small rack with Ms Williams.

Thankfully this one problem I don’t have..
I usually just some bronzer in that area, as I don’t need to highlight that anymore than necessary.. They sell themselves lol :)

Michelle has fantastic, glowing skin. I’ve got to say though that my illuminating kind of ends at my chin area.

I really do not like that dress/neckline on Michelle… hmm… i do like the idea of illuminator. It is quite similar to dusting shimmery bronzing powder over your décolletage but for the non-tanner!

That’s such a cool trick, she looks amazing and it does create the impression of a decent set of boobs. It doesn’t look at all fake, love it.

Michelle really has tricked us all! I was completely fooled.
What a great tip. When I first came to this post, I read the headline and then looked straight at the picture to see what he chest looked like. It wasn’t until I read what to actually do that I went back for and noticed the line of illuminator.
That’s how you know it’s a good trick- when you can’t see the make up when you’re looking for it.

She looks so young, not that she’s at all old, she just looks so much younger then she is.

    Such fresh beautiful makeup.

I was admiring her beautiful skin! Michelle has amazing clear, radiant, illuminating skin. She looks fresh and natural.

What a clever makeup trick for the cleavage. Good tip!

I used to use bronzer for the same effect or Body Gloss.

Interesting read! Those products are surely great picks!

I do not have much boob at all. The little trick I use to emphasis them is use a little bronzer or makeup in between to cast the illusion of a bigger bust with shadow.

I am going to be trying this, I need all the help I can get. The lighter shade over the darker.

I have the Soft Focus Illuminator which I wear under my foundation to give a soft glow.
