And the AACTA Beauty Awards Go To …

Last night saw the red carpet roll out for the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Art awards (as in, the old AFIs).
And sure, there were some mega-watt celebrities like Nicole and Cate, along with Brit it-girl guest presenter (and our favourite English Rose) Gemma Arterton, but truth be told, it was the slightly lesser-known faces (and heads of hair) who stole the beauty show for us.
So let’s get on with that show, shall we?
And the award for most gorgeous gleam goes to … Charlotte Best!
Charlotte showed off the same tumbling honey hair we obsessed over in the television series Puberty Blues, but we were most taken with her lit-from-within-looking complexion. Our bet? She mixed a healthy dose of illuminator into her liquid foundation, and brushed on a shimmery peachy blush (Nars Orgasm, perhaps?).
And the award for the most luscious red lips goes to … Isabelle Cornish!
You might remember, the up-and-coming actress stopped by recently for a beauty chat, and told us about her love for Chanel lipsticks (which we totally share). And we’d put money on this lippie being Chanel Rouge Allure in Pirate, $50, a brilliant blue-based red, lacquered up with clear gloss.
And the award for the prettiest pale-skinned performance goes to … Sarah Snook!
In a sea of sun-kissed skin, the fair-complexioned, russet-haired actress was a breath of fresh beauty air. We love how she added just the right touch of peachy blush to warm up her skin, and stained out her berry lipstick so as not to overwhelm her delicate features. And the award for the bounciest blow-dry goes to … Megan Gale!
There’s only one word to describe Ms Gale here: va-voom. There are the flirty curly lashes and the catch-the-light body shimmer, but it’s that big, bombshell hair that has us swooning the most. To copy the look, click here.
And the award for overall sexy sleekness goes to … Jessica Mauboy!
Okay, so her actual AACTA for Best Supporting Actress probably excites her more, but we have to give her a gong for this luscious look, which totally smashes it out of her usual beauty ballpark. We love her lustrous skin and statement sooty eyes, while her long, swishy locks had me firing up my SteamPod with hair envy.
Tell me, Primpers, who do you give a beauty award to?
