Video: Newbies: Remington Perfect Curls – it’s THE tool for the hair styling challenged

It’s only taken 23 years and 352 days, Primps, but I’ve finally found a curling tong I can actually use – Remington‘s Perfect Curls styling tong.
I know this makes me sound lame considering I am a Beauty Editor, and I know I wasn’t attempting to put waves through my locks at the age of two, but hey, it feels outrageously fantastic to have finally nailed the whole hair curling thing after so stinkin’ long.
Are YOU hopeless at curling your strands, too? Yes? Then please, for the love of the hairy gods, hand over a crisp fifty and get your hands on this dummy-proof bad boy:
Remington Perfect Curls, $43.95
It’ll save your life, trust me. Well, maybe not your life, but it will rescue your always-straight strands.
Well, see that protective barrier around the tong? That is the magic ingredient. To use, you simply slot the end of your hair in the clip at the base of the wand and then just wind it up. Yep, that’s all you’ve got to do. The hair will wrap itself around the tong in a perfect fashion, you see, guided by the heat-resistant barrier. It’s ingenious. And it works every single time.
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE.
There is no burning of the hands.
There are no ringlet curls on the right side of your head, and bouncy, round curls on the left.
There is no awkward twisting and turning of the hair or your arms. (But just in case you find yourself in a twisted mess, it’s still got a super-nifty swivel cord.)
There is no breaking of the bank. (Yep, you’ll get $6.05 change if you hand over that fifty I mentioned earlier.)
But how do you actually use it? I’m gonna let this chick show you. She’s rather good at it. She also brought her own tunes, which means this vid entertains your ears as well as your eyes.
As much as I love this bad boy, though, I must warn you: if your hair is ultra-long, you won’t be able to curl your strands right up at the root area. My hair is around boob length, so this tool works a treat for me. But if yours is any longer, you’ll just have to settle for curls from ear level down, kind of like the chick’s locks in the vid. But hey, she looks all kinds of awesome, so you super-long-haired Primps would still be utterly stoked with this tool. I’m certain of it.
Do you struggle to curl your hair?
Have you been searching for a dummy-proof curling tool your entire life, too?
Are you going to race out and buy this bad boy? (You can find Remington products at department stores and electrical retailers.)
