Yes, it’s normal for a fragrance to change its smell

Asked:
I keep an emergency bottle of perfume in the glove-box of my car. But I notice it smells different each time I use it. Is this normal?
Answer:
Yes. It is normal for the fragrance to change its character while sitting in the glove-box of your car. Even in winter, temperatures in any vehicle can reach upwards of 50 degrees Celsius, which can work to disturb the delicate balance of your favourite perfume.
Instead of leaving full-size bottles in your vehicle try carrying pocket size vials or bottles (15mls) in your handbag. They shouldn’t take up too much room or add a great deal of weight to your carry-all. But they will provide you with a safer way to store your touch-up perfume.
Next time you make a fragrance purchase, just ask your perfume consultant if they have any handbag sized bottles, which you will find are more often than not, a complimentary gift with purchase.
Personal hint. Do you LOVE a perfume that people constantly comment on?
If you do….try Thierry Mugler Angel. But that's just me being biased. Other favourites include: Missoni Acqua Roller Ball and Bobbi Brown Beach Fragrance.
