Serum

Hi primpers, i am looking to invest in a good serum to boost my skin, only problem is that my skin is both on the oily side and prone to breakout but also sensitive and irritated by many products!
Can any suggest any good products that they have come across? Preferably natural/organic

The pill and pimples

I'm wondering what personal experience people have had with the contraceptive pill and acne. I've been on microgyn but it didn't keep my periods regular and now I'm on Levlen ED, which has caused my skin to break out like never before. I am so concerned about my skin I'm considering fraxel laser because the acne is jsut getting worse. I want to know if anyones tried Yaz as I've heard it's best for acne, and also how to get Roaccutane? Please help.

Clinique Clarifying Lotion

hey everyone,

a couple of weeks ago i went to the clinique counters and was given a free sample of clarifying lotion (number 2). i did a bit of research on it, and it contains alcohol, which we are supposed to avoid in toners as it dries out your skin. clinique is supposed to be dermalogically tested etc however.
i was just wondering, has anyone been using the clarifying lotion, have you found any problems with it drying out your skin?? what is everyones opinions on alcohol in toners?

Return to tennage skin i.e. nasty chin pimples

Hi everyone!

Hoping the lovely primpettes can help me! I usually have pretty decent skin, clear with the very ocassional pimple. Overhauled my skincare routine about three months ago as decided after turning 25 I needed to invest some more time and money and my skin has gone from bad to worse ( clearly should have stuck with my supermarket faves!)

I've developed quite sore, red bumps on either side of my mouth which will not clear, no matter what I do. Occasionally they develop a head (a very attractive pus filled one at that) but instead of clearing, they just kinda go back into the large red bump. I also have some very fetching, purple-ish marks (flat, no head) to really compliment the blind/red/sometimes pus filled pimples or whatevere the hell they are!

I've literally tried everything! Stopped new products and returned to a very basic cleanse, tone and moisturise routine. Tried the Ganier stop roller ball (that Zoe raves about), toothpaste, sudocreme EVERYTHING!! Nothing makes any difference, literally they just stay where they are, pretty much like i haven't even tried to clear them!

It's worth noting that I had s similar but much worse problem as a teen and was on roaccutane for a year. Went off the pill 6 months ago due to crazy person behaviour and hormones are all over the place!

I'm at my wits end and have made a dermatologist appointment for when I return from my OS trip but till then, am desperate!

Gradual Tanners

Gradual tanners - they seem to be more of a miss than hit for me of late Primpers! Yaz and Zoe rave about them on their blogs but, alas, I find they either turn me too orange or the moisturiser is so heavy, sticky and SMELLY that I might as well have just gone the whole hog and applied fake tan!

I have tried Dove (waaay too thick and greasy), Nivea (hello overpowering smell) and St Tropez (again, thick and strong smelling).

I'm at a loss! Does anyone have tips for gradual tanners they swear by? I really want to find one that will work for me, as they are a lot less effort than the full on fake tan at this time of year!!

I have found the BEST hairdresser in Melbourne !!! 

Out of the goodness of my heart - ( I could be selfish and keep it a secret!!) but I thought I would continue to spread the good news - I have found the best hairdresser in Melbourne. I always like to try places by recommendation and word of mouth, and it was word of mouth by another primper that mentioned the wonderful Rebecca in a comment on a recent blog. ( THANKYOU!!)

Searching for a shampoo that will save my dry, itchy and horrifically flaky scalp

I'm trying to avoid going to the GP for a prescription remedy, but it might have to be my next stop.

I have an horribly itchy flaky and worst of all scabby ;( scalp, and nothing seems to be helping me any more. Can anyone recommend something? Everything I've used either doesn't work at all, makes it worse, or only works for a couple of months then I'm back being unable to wear dark tops for fear of snow covered shoulders.

Any advice would be so greatly appreciated!!

Pale foundation problem

Hi Primpers - I'm extremely fair skinned with a pinkish undertone & have found that most foundations & concealers are too dark (even the fairest shade in most ranges) & yellow based & I've had trouble finding anything to match or blend with my skintone. Does anyone have any brand suggestions? Thanks

Hairdresser in Melbourne who KNOWS what and HOW to do ombre hair - help please! 

Hi guys,
Can someone please recommend a good/cheap salon in Melbourne, pref inner burbs, who knows what Ombre hair means (dark on top, light on bottom - its a really cool new trend) and also knows how to do it?
I've had epic fails from 2 hairdressers this morning who dont know what I am on about....:(

Corally peachy pinky Lipstick

Hey everyone, I am currently in a bit of a lipstick fetish, and have decided that i must must have a coral lipstick. sadly everyone that i try does not work. i am super super fair skinned, so am thinking that a peach/pink with just a hint of the orange which comes with coral would suit me. anyone know of any? sadly the DJ's one which Zoe recommends is too orange for me.

Hairdresser hell! 

I really have no idea if it's just me and my luck and i know everyone may have had the odd hair disaster or 2 but nearly every single time i have my hair done i end up in tears as to what disaster lays upon my head! Horrible colors and worse cuts resulting in more money being spent on hair extensions and well dont even get me started on those ! i think the balds spots are growing back lol Without fail even when i actually have a visual picture printed in my hot and sweaty due to nerves hand it nevers even comes close to what i want !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ekkkkk is it just me , am i alone ?

Desperately seeking a good hair Shampoo

Hi Primpers,
I seem to constantly have this dilema about hair shampo
I am definitely committed to my hairdresser's motto of "no supermarket brands", given most of them are just detergent & often loaded with silicone which makes your hair feel nice but creates yuk build up.
On the other hand I gag at paying $40 for a bottle of shampoo ( I paid it for a shampoo called frederik fekkai & LOVED it, but the budget just wont stretch)
I have long, coloured hair taht will tend to dryness (as it hets GHD'd regularly)
Anyone got any great suggestions???

Make Up Drawers

Just had to share a bit of my excitement, I have recently been looking for something to organise ALL my make up a little bit better, so sick of having make up spread throughout my bedroom/bathroom... So.... had a quick look on ebay and very excited to see that there is some on there and THEY ARE GORGEOUS!!! White acrylic, three drawer (large and small size) with beautiful crystal knobs... I just typed in "make up drawers".
