clear skin

Ok so i would like to tell you how i got awesome skin...
right now my skin is soft, glowing and radiant.. and i know it sounds a bit up myself but i dont care cos to be truthfully honest it used to SUCK! heres how you can get good skin too!

To start you off... what my skin was like... well it was rather rough, i had blind pimples, lots of blackheads, and these weird under the surface pimples that kinda look white (not asin headdy) and they would squeeze like a black head... weird? oh and i had a few horrible dry patches in some areas and some rather oily patches in others... yuk...
if this sounds like you... never fear.... i can be fixed... might take a couple of weeks but lets be real with ourselves... as much as wed like it too not much can help you over night...

firstly i began a gentle exfoliation every morning and night... i needed to get rid of all the surface pore clogging materials and reveal the new skin underneath...
i stopped using harsh drying cleansers... for a period of about 6 months i went for glycolic peels and microderm abraisions... incase your not familiar basically they are meant to clear away layers of your skin to reveal nice skin underneath.. worst 6 months of my life... my skin became flakey and broke out more than ever... never again i say! anyways i stopped all this crazy stuff and switched to using sensitive cleansers if anything at all.... infact on my best skin days i have usually only washed my face with warm water and a flanner... and for you ocd people it removes ALL your makeup and leaves your skin balanced... why wouldnt you do it?

finally at night i began doing very thick masques of my favourite must have product.. its a bit random but i promise you it works! it clears acne like a miracle... and it helps scarring and all kinds of horrible things.. its called SUDOCREAM its a nappy rash cream you can buy in your local grocery store (i buy mine in coles) for the bargain price of $10 its too cheap not to try out... basically i paste it on nice and thick a few hours before bed and let it really work... then before bed i wipe it off with a tissue and rub the remaining in... (dont be surprised if you look as white as a ghost for the night) the reason it works is it has a nice hefty amount of zinc oxide in it which clears up bacteria under the skin... helped me a bunch... i noticed a visible result straight away 9i just had a nice glow) but after about 2 weeks i stopped getting big pimples and the blind ones never came back... YEW!... ive been using this stuff for 6 months now... i use it a couple times a week at night now... as apposed to every night... and it works!

and to finish it off this past couple of weeks i have been getting a bit of the winter dry skin.. so i have been rubbing bio oil into my skin every night... not only have i got the best ever glow right now but my skin tone is flawless and my scarrs from the pimples i once had are becoming less visible every day...

so girls and boys... what do you think? do you have a similar routine...? have you tried Sudocream? what are your glowing skin tips?

Searching for the ultimate skincare

I think that I have officualy entered an eternal search for a fabulous skincare range / treatments that will keep my skin looking as good as possible.
I've tried omnilux, AHA peels, etc etc etc, which are all great the minute you use them but then stop & the joy stops.
I have heard about a range called Danne Montague King & they have loads of facial places - has anyone used it / recommend it or any other suggestions???

Hair Flairs - Reflective Hair Highlights

Hey everyone. I thought I'd share the latest hair craze from LA.

I recently came back from a holiday in the US where I got these cool highlight strands put in my hair. My friends stylist in LA installed them for about $50. I got light pink ones put in and I have brown hair. My friend had gold ones put in her blonde hair.

I think they look pretty special! They are really eye catching as well because people keep stopping me in the street and asking me whats in my hair!

The stylist at the salon said there were a few different brands available but the one they use is called Hair Flairs. Other brands I've found online are Bling Strands and Bling Highlights. The Hair Flairs are available in Australia through www.hairflairs.com.au. Apparently you can install them yourself (for a a LOT cheaper than a salon) but I'm not sure how simple it would be to do yourself... But I'll definitely be giving it a go! I'll post photos if I can...

Revlon's most recent marketing efforts have been aimed towards their new foundation 'Photoready' which claims to give us an airbrushed finish in any light. Eyeliner recommendations? 

I'm looking for an eyeliner to be used with my favourite brush, which means no pencils, and no traditional liquids which come with their own applicators.

I've tried the MAC and Stila ones but they suck bad, they're all dried up after a few weeks and now chalky and disgusting.

Bobbi Brown’s Makeup Manual = all sorts of awesomeness

I recently had the luck of acquiring a new housemate who happens to be completing a course in make up artistry, and with her came all sorts of goodies :) Of everything though, I would absolutely recommend Bobbi Brown's Makeup Manual - I spent a whole Sunday reading it cover to cover and my wish list has doubled (...maybe not a good thing). I thought I knew a whole heap about make up and skincare, but the amount of info in this book is staggering.

It costs $60 and you can get it from her counters at DJs. (I promise I don't work for Bobbi Brown).

Primpers, your assistance please!

I had the terrible misfortune of having my handbag stolen over the weekend.
Concequently, I've lost my handbag beauty products! This may or may not be the part I'm most upset about, screw the iPod, iPhone, cards, ect, it's the hundreds of dollars in lipgloss, perfumes, ect!

So, I'm starting from scratch.

I need scent-less skin products!!!! HELP! 

Hey Girls,
i have recently fallen pregnant and every beautifully scented product i own makes me feel sick... something about the perfumes in them makes me gag! funnily enough i can stand actual perfume but my moituriser (olay spf 30) along with most face washes i have ever owned make me shudder. thank god my skin had cleared up and if i exfoliate with my scentless scrub my skin seems to look ok but i seriously havent hardly worn any suncream or moisturiser for the 3 months ive been pregnant! oh and my body wash is the same story... unfortunately i have really dry skin on my whole body but strangely enough not my face and i need a good moisturising product for washing...

Im struggling as ive been using as a body wash the only thing i can stand which is a very drying bar of soap... i need something with no smell whatsoever... and do you think i can even go down the soaps isle NO!

Anyway girls i need your help... do you know of anything that can help me out?
