Primpers, meet Akisa. She’s the latest chick to be stalked by PRIMPED after successfully managing to maneuver her BabyLiss Curling Tong so profusely around her lovely long black locks, she created the perfect tousled yet polished wave. Well done Akisa, you’ve outdone yourself. And again, thank you for sending me your photos, you’re a winner.
Here she is:

It’s not easy using a curling tong (or any heated instrument really) to create these lovely curls. People tend to complain of twisting their wrist the wrong way, not being able to wrap the hair correctly around the utensil or just being massively confused in general, but I have to say, when it comes to re-creating a polished wave, Akisa here has totes nailed it.
She tells me she was inspired by the Tip and Trick on, erm, you guessed it, Tousled Yet Polished Waves. And why wouldn’t you be inspired to create this look? It’s glorious.
Here’s what Akisa used to complete the look:
ghd Fat Hair Lotion, $35
MOP Glisten Spray, $29.95
BabyLiss Ceramic Curling Iron, from $72.95
Akisa, you’ve done such a wonderful job here. You’ve kept the curls big, rather than small and tight, and focused the movement on the ends of your hair, rather than all over. Next time, you could even try brushing them out, I’m all over the brushed out curls at the moment.
What do you think, Primpers? Hasn’t Akisa smashed it here?
Have you tried this look? What did you do?
